"The Negro Project"

Here, LaShawn Barber traces the racist and eugenicist roots of the "pro-choice" organization Planned Parenthood.

The facts that black and Hispanic women are 25 % of the population but have 57 % of the abortions, and that abortion clinics tend to be placed in or near minority neighborhoods concern me as much as the racist history of Planned Parenthood. I can only hope this article will entice even a few blacks to leave behind the liberal politics which have been so hurtful to the black community.

Those who'd like to know more about the Planned Parenthood/eugenics connection can go to:

There's quite a bit of information there, including links to a downloadable version of Sanger's Pivot of Civilization.

Thanks for the lead, Mike. I have just returned from there and seen several interesting articles as well as the mentioned book from Sanger. It's just what the Dr. ordered, as just last night my wife, daughter, and I were discussing the woeful educational direction most "health classes" take in high school.

The main complaint is the lies perpetrated on our youth about "safe sex". Thankfully, my daughter has an instructor that actually told her about the failure rate of condoms, their inability to prevent STDs, etc. He actually told the class that abstinence was the best way to prevent unwanted pregnancies and STD! In a government school, no less! There is hope.

My point, however, is that my daughter is adopted from Honduras, and had never heard about Sanger, other than as the founder of Planned Parenthood. She never heard of Sanger's hatred of minorities, plan for racial/poverty elimination, etc. Of course, she had not been told of Sanger's questionable sexual tastes either. Which, admittedly, are not the issue here, but distasteful nontheless.

Along with that information is that fact that PP promotes sex so they can stay in the business of abortion. As lq states in his reply, 57% of the abortions are in the minority population, which impacts my daughter, a Latino. She is even more adament against abortion now than 24 hours ago. She's ready to march in January, 2007 on the RvW 34th anniversary. Praise God!

More good news as I hear it, there are more youths against abortion these days than adults. Hope for the future!
