Telling It Like It is

Here is a fabulous piece by Professors Eric Posner and Adrian Vermeule -- eviscerating the judge who used the opportunity of sentencing the Millenium Bomber not to send a message that terrorism won't be tolerated, but to lecture the Bush Administration (ht: Hugh Hewitt, blogging from the Baltic).

It's a particular source of pride to note that Adrian Vermeule was a friend from law school. He's a brilliant guy (and a nice one) -- exactly the sort of person who should be teaching the next generation of legal scholars and lawyers.
