Oh, and Before They Leave for Recess . . .

Politicians and the denizens of the MSM have criticized Iraqis for adjourning for a summer recess.

Fair enough. If our soldiers can fight, surely they can legislate.

But then again, what exactly have the Democrats achieved this year that entitles them to a six-week vacation? Was it really that hard to pass a minimum wage bill and initiate 300 investigations?

At least the Dems aren't running off to Crawford to clear brush.

If they were clearing brush in Crawford, I'd rest easier, they couldn't do any mischief there.

I think we'd be better served if Congress only was in session one month a quarter, and they had to spend the other two back in their districts.

Do lefties even know how to clear brush?

Could they do it if they did know how?

Would they do it? Or, would they depend on someone who actually knows how to produce work to do it for them while they sit in the shade sipping wine and complaining about the awful drudgery of clearing brush?

Mitt Romney hired illegals on the cheap to do his yard work. Just saying Greg, that clearing brush may not be a litmus test for proving anything.

Let's keep in mind that Bush left to clear brush after he received the PDB stating bin Laden was determined to attack the US, shortly before 911.

Romney did not "hire illegals," ETC. The company that then-Gov. Romney hired to work on his lawn employed illegals. And the owner of that company was In the US legally. A big difference. Romney has, in fact, publicly stated his views on employers who hire illegals: They should face penalities.

Let's keep in mind that ETC plays fast and loose with facts.

Getting back to Carol's question...

The answer would be "a whole lot" save for the obstructionism going on on the other side of the aisle.

Give us a list, Duke-Stir, of the things the Democrats achieved in this Congressional Session.

Again, Greg, the answer would be "a whole lot" if not for the obstructionism from Bush's rubber stamps.

Nearly nothing!
