Here is a fabulous piece from a soldier who rebuts all the Democratic talking points central to their argument that Americans should effectively surrender in Iraq.

Dems live in a 9/10 world. Like another time when the US lived in a world on Dec 6 1941.
Vets for Freedom is a front organization run by a GOP PR firm dedicated to defeating candidates who want to end the war in Iraq.

1st Lt Pete Hegseth's real day job is as a conservative think tanker at the very conservative Manhattan Institute

Every view should be heard, but you should have revealed his real day job and his professional political ties should have been made known to your listeners. Pete is only a very part-time soldier who fools around a little bit in the Army NG. I honor his service. I even honor his opinion, but this organization Lt. Hegseth fronts is really kind of a GOP Swift Boating in reverse.
Please check the credentials of people who present that "just folks" facade while fronting causes.

Rick - you hit so many points Let me see if I understand them:
Lt. Hegseth is a Veteran AND a conservative? wow! Does that mean that when I comment I have to post my military background and the fact that I am Professor in Decision Sciences? He's an American Citizen and has earned the right to express his views in any way he wishes. A right that the left is trying to take away from us.
And "Swiftboating" -- Lt Jg Kerry was a fool and a traitor. I was in Vietnam when he was - I resent the names he called me and my comrades. He lied in front of congress! That is a documentable fact.
After 3 booboo's, for which he was treated with band-aids - He was allowed to go home. He did not spend a single night in a dispensary. The rest of us just cleaned ourselves up and finished up our year. Luckily Kerry had a Super 8 movie camera to document his exploits.

Then while he was still a Naval Reserve Officer he sat down with the enemy in the time of war in Paris.
Every time I hear that term Swiftboating I see red. Kerry should have been court-martailed or at least tried on charges of purgury for lying to congress.

Hegseth served in Guantanamo Bay "on a security mission with his National Guard unit and, upon his return from Cuba, he volunteered to join the 3rd Brigade of the 101st Airborne Division for their deployment to Iraq from 2005-2006. Serving as an infantry Platoon Leader and an assistant Civil-Military Operations officer in Baghdad as well as Samarra, Lt. Hegseth earned the Combat Infantryman's Badge and Bronze Star Medal for his time in Iraq.
Hmm Bronze Star, screaming Eagles, CIB, what right does He have to an opinion.
