I don't know if Bush is as impervious to public opinion as he once was. I'd like to think otherwise, but in any case, the fallout from such an action would be tremendous indeed. The main problem is there's no way to judge what might have been once firm action is taken. It seems pretty clear the direction things are going with Iran, but should Bush be so bold, no doubt he'd be scolded that Iran was "contained". I think such bold action is appropriate, I just have little stomach for any further prez-bashing by the left, both foreign as well as domestic. Oh well.
