Terrorism in San Francisco?

Fourteen people, including a child, have been critically injured by a driver identified as Ohmeed Aziz Popal, who was apparently trying to hit random pedestrians. SFO callers to Hugh Hewitt's radio show have noted that the areas in which the attacks took place are predominantly Jewish.

Is this terrorism? It's too soon to tell. But it's nonetheless remarkable that the television news seems too determined to go forward with Katrina retrospective coverage to report on what could be a terrorist rampage. Doesn't this warrant at least a minute of a news anchor's time?

Carol - We have no evidence that it's anything of the sort.

Preliminary reports suggest he was nuts and didn't take his medication as he should have.

well, the driver has a Muslim-sounding name, and he ran over people in front of a Jewish community center. More investigation needed, obviously, but it seems like a good chance it was SIJS--Sudden Islamic Jihad Syndrome.

It doesn't take but a hint of impropriety for the MSM to jump on a story if it impugnes Bush. At least on the surface, this is comparable to other killing sprees we've seen in this country.

Here's a link to a video report. At end of video: "One witness told us the suspect referred to himself as a terrorist."

Walks like a duck.
Sounds like a duck.
Even calls himself a duck, according to one witness.

Well there is one "terrorist" the current administration did not catch. Another failure in the War on Terror.
How silly is this line of thinking?

Is there no protection against ad hominem attacks in this forum???

As if a human could hurt my feelings with words.

Tsk, tsk.

Alas, I guess there is no punishment, on Terra, that is for those who delight in their states being red.

Thanks for stopping by the blog COPioneer and do not forget to vote in November.

See, that is called civility in the face of ignorance. Try some, it is truly refreshing!
