The Best Disinfectant
So there's going to be an investigation into the use of steroids by baseball players, most notably Barry Bonds.
It's only right. Sunshine is the best disinfectant -- and how outrageous it would be if Bonds surpassed Hank Aaron's home run record by cheating. Not only would it be dishonorable, it would also be manifestly unjust to Aaron, who is, by all accounts, a wonderful human being.

I'm glad to hear that. Bonds is a great hitter, even without the steroids, but looking at his record, he never cleared 50 home runs in any season before his big year of 73 bingos, and hasn't since either.
Highly suspicous, I think.
And I also agree that Hank Aaron is a great player and gentleman, and very worthy of the record he holds, and should continue to hold.
I would feel a lot more confident of its outcome were this investigation not being led by left-winger Mitchell, or by any other person whose main claim to fame is a political career.
Any athlete who is proven, or admits to, using steroids should, at minimum, have several asterisks beside his/her name in any records book.
