Carol, what do you consider the Top Five issues for California Republicans (in order of importance).
To what extent do you believe the Governor supports these issues or has different priorities?
To what extent, and how, will Ms Kennedy's appointment help or hurt pursuit of these issues?
Those on the sidelines can afford to be purists. Officials have to govern. This means focussing on what matters and being willing to compromise.
If the Governor and his party are going to divorce, we should at least determine whether there are irreconcilable differences, or this is a spat blown out of proportion.
