Justice Williams?
More buzz is surrounding Karen Williams. No, people, not this Karen Williams. This Karen Williams -- U.S. Court of Appeals for the 4th Circuit (South Carolina).
She might make strategic sense -- given that one of "Gang of 14" senators who'd be needed in the event of a filibuster is Sen. Lindsay Graham (R-SC).

I admit, I know nothing of Judge Williams..........But I do hope Bush picks a woman.
My choice would be a black woman (JRB)........But ya can't win them all.

You brought up the "Gang of 14"......It should really just be the "Gang of 7", because the 7 Democrats are presumed to be out.
There is no way McCain can keep on this path........He'll keep his job as Senator, but will be tossing his chance at the Presidency.
I'm of the opinion he can write his own ticket, and may even have a fix in with Bush, if he gets on board with this second ticket.
Linsay was on-fire in the Roberts nomination, and I think he's gotten off the ledge as well.
