The Danger of Press Insularity

The press coverage of the Federalist Society has been laughably ignorant. (See here for my earlier comments).

What the entire phenomenon highlights is ideological conformity of the press. Clearly, no one writing these stories has actually -- heaven forbid! -- belonged to the society, or even been close to someone who has (which would have the effect of assuring them that it isn't some right wing cabal).

How sad that the press/liberal vision of "diversity" is such a cramped one that it only takes into account race, gender, sexual orientation. At this point, little ideological diversity seems to be the most constructive way to improve the quality of press coverage.
