Terror in London
Dr. Johnson once noted that the prospect of hanging concentrates the mind wonderfully. Similarly, one can only hope that -- out of the carnage and destruction in London this morning -- comes a renewed resolve across Europe, and indeed, the civilized world to fight Islamofascist terror wherever it rears its ugly head. Frank Gaffney has five important points to keep in mind as the effort moves forward. Fox News reported that there are people in London who were released from Guantanamo Bay -- here's hoping the press keeps us informed about whether any of them were involved.
For my part, it's a morning of gratitude. My twin brother and sister-in-law livei n London, and thankfully both are fine. Our hearts and prayers go out to those for whom the news wasn't good.
In any case, I have great confidence in the British people. They survived the blitzkrieg, after all -- and they will rise to this challenge with courage, good humor and determination.

We'll see how many Churchills are alive and well in UK politics, won't we? Let's hope there are more of them than there are FDRs among the current US Democrat Party.
