Shameless Self Promotion Moment

My weekly column is posted here at www.CaliforniaRepublic.org. It focuses on an irony: People in places like Afghanistan, South Africa and El Salvador are willing to brave danger and inconvenience in order to vote -- while at the same time, some Americans oppose measures that would help ensure the integrity of the vote, like requiring government-issued identification at the polls, because it would be "intimidating".
